Our partnership with Komax began in 2021, and it is particularly interesting due to the thoroughness with which the company utilizes MDCplus.
Komax uses data to create post-calculations on orders. MDCplus is installed on about 40 machines across various Komax facilities worldwide. Since its setup, employees have noticed an increase in machine efficiency. Reliable data is now available at all times, enabling clear identification of which machines are performing well, which require maintenance, and which need to be replaced or removed.

Decision
The possibility for software installation was realized through collaboration with another branch of the company engaged in similar production activities. This branch, located in a different country, was already using MDCplus for their planning and strategic needs and had found it highly efficient.
Implementation: The Main Challenge
The primary challenge was integrating the software into the system. Given the company's complex processes, it took some time to acquire the necessary knowledge for optimal use of MDCplus in our setup. However, by early 2023, all machines were successfully connected!
Results
“One of the most important contributions of MDCplus to Komax is strategic guidance for future decisions. Now, we can easily access reliable data, set more accurate calculations for our orders,” says Hans Van den Plas, QA/IT Administrator at Komax Belgium.
Key results after almost a year of using MDCplus include:
- Increased flexibility and efficiency.
- Enhanced proactive planning capabilities for customers.
- Automated calculations, eliminating manual work.
- Data and reports to substantiate all numbers used in strategic planning.
Komax continues to use MDCplus successfully and looks forward to discovering new benefits it can bring.
