Our partnership was catalyzed by the customer’s need for an efficient solution capable of real-time data collection from their equipment.

HYUNDAI WIA is a comprehensive defense industry company that produces middle and large caliber artillery and naval guns as well as aircraft landing gear, working to defend the values of humanity. Our outstanding technologies are recognized around the world, which enabled our active global export activities. HYUNDAI WIA is also making a headway into future cutting-edge weapons system business, with the development of a state-of-the-art unmanned automatic firing system.
Customer’s needs
They were looking for a way to seamlessly integrate this data with their MES system for enhanced operational planning. After a comprehensive evaluation, they recognized that MDCplus, as a product and a company, is aligned with their requirements.
Planning phase
The collaboration unfolded with meticulous care. We performed a series of tests, fine-tuning every aspect of our solution to ensure it met the standards of our customer. This initial phase spanned approximately nine months, while we deepened in negotiations and strategic planning.
Implementation and results
Our engagement introduced a suite of functionalities that revolutionized the customer’s operational capabilities.
The ability to collect specific parameters related to Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). This feature not only allowed for comprehensive monitoring but also enabled the client to identify and document reasons for equipment downtime.
Sustainability. Additionally, we provided crucial insights into energy consumption, offering a lens into the sustainability aspect of their operations.
The enhancement of their equipment workload planning. Through our solution, the client gained unparalleled visibility into their operational workflow. This allowed them to pinpoint areas ripe for improvement and to meticulously track the production time for each component. Such detailed tracking has been instrumental in refining their production schedules, resulting in a more streamlined and efficient workflow.
Complimenting the client's existing technological ecosystem. They had their own application tailored for operators, but our product seamlessly integrated with it, offering an expanded toolset and enriched user experience. This synergy between our solutions empowered the operators with more robust tools, making their daily tasks more intuitive and efficient.
